Lordswood Clean-up

Lordswood is a great place to live with its good schools, safe footpaths and cycle ways, and easy access to the Sports Centre. But at times the beauty is marred by litter.

For the last few years a group of people from Living Lordswood has taken action and once a month meet together and have a sociable time picking up litter. The City Council has supported us by supplying litter picking tools, refuse bags and safety guidelines and arranging to collect the rubbish.

How could you be involved?
Easy! Firstly clink on sign up link so we can send you an occasional reminder and then come along to the next clean up event. Secondly tell your neighbours and friends in the area so that they can be involved too.

Litter Pick

Date: Sunday 20th October 2019

Time: 10:45am – 11.45pm meeting at the tunnels at the end of Oakwood Drive / Woburn Road.

Location: This month we’ll be bulb planting so bring a bulb planter or fork for digging, plus some wellies or similar footwear. We’re not 100% sure where we’ll be planting bulbs so we’ll meet at the tunnels and then walk from there. Any who’d prefer not to bulb plant, we’ll have a group picking up litter. We’ll start with a cup of tea to get us going and then get cracking.

This will be followed by our usual lunch which you are more than welcome to come.

Wet Weather – Even if it’s raining we’ll always try and litter pick, although it might be in waterproofs.
Forthcoming dates

17th Nov, 15th Dec
