Summer choir charity concert
(including cupcake challenge)
19:00-21:00 Saturday 29th June 2019
Oakwood Primary School
Together, we can bake a difference!
Living Lordswood’s aim is to bring joy, hope and a sense of belonging to the community. This summer the choir is raising funds for the Alzheimer’s Society.
The Choir has some real musical treats to share with you this year including: Living in the moment, Africa, Closest thing to crazy, A million dreams & Something inside so strong.
To help with the interval refreshments, could you bring a few cupcakes to share? Whether you bake it or fake it your contribution can make a real difference. Did you know, in the average time it takes to bake a batch of cakes, six people in the UK will develop dementia. It is now the leading cause of death in England and Wales, overtaking both cancer and heart disease.
So come on – show us your dough!
The concert and refreshments are free but all the raffle money and any donations will go to Alzheimer’s Society. Together we can make a difference.
As well as funding research and supporting families, £600 would pay for 8 people with dementia to attend Singing for the Brain® sessions for one year, where they and their carers can come together for an hour each week to sing and dance with music.
