Lordswood is a great place to live with its good schools, safe footpaths and cycle ways, and easy access to the Sports Centre. But at times the beauty is marred by litter.
For the last few years a group of people from Living Lordswood has taken action and once a month meet together and have a sociable time picking up litter. The City Council has supported us by supplying litter picking tools, refuse bags and safety guidelines and arranging to collect the rubbish.
How could you be involved?
Easy! Firstly clink on sign up link so we can send you an occasional reminder and then come along to the next clean up event. Secondly tell your neighbours and friends in the area so that they can be involved too.
Date: Sunday 15th March 2020
Time: 10:45am – 11.45pm meeting half way round Sandpiper near the pathway down to Goldcrest Pond.
Location: This month we’re having a go at the pathway past Goldcrest pond. We’ll meet half way round Sandpiper near the path down to Goldcrest pond for a quick cuppa before cracking on. Please bring brushes and shovels. There will be a group picking up litter too if you don’t fancy clearing.
This will be followed by our usual lunch which you are more than welcome to come.
