Lordswood is a great place to live with its good schools, safe footpaths and cycle ways, and easy access to the Sports Centre. But at times the beauty is marred by litter.
For the last few years a group of people from Living Lordswood has taken action and once a month meet together and have a sociable time picking up litter. The City Council has supported us by supplying litter picking tools, refuse bags and safety guidelines and arranging to collect the rubbish.
How could you be involved?
Easy! Firstly clink on sign up link so we can send you an occasional reminder and then come along to the next clean up event. Secondly tell your neighbours and friends in the area so that they can be involved too.
Date: Sunday 21st July 2019
Time: 10:45am – 11.45pm meeting at the end of Turnstone Gardens.
Location: This month we’ll be combining a walk as we litterpick, we’ll meet at the end of Turnstone Gardens at the entrance to the pathway which takes you to the bus stop. We’ll start with a cup of tea to get us going and then get cracking with the litterpick as we walk along the greenway and round the back of the Community Centre.
The walk will be followed by our usual lunch which you are more than welcome to come.
