Living Life To The Full [LLTTF]

Want to have a Happy New Year?

Living Life to the Full is an 7 session programme which starts on 13th January 2021 and which runs online on ZOOM

Let's face it, 2020 has been tough, and many of us will begin 2021 feeling pretty flat (and that is putting it mildly!) Living Life to the Full (LLTTF) is a tried and trusted educational programme designed to give you the tools to make positive changes that will brighten up your life: feel happier, have more energy, enjoy the moment, gain confidence, sleep better, get out more, enjoy better relationships, help others…

Dates and time

LLTTF has 7 weekly sessions lasting 75 – 90 minutes running on ZOOM.

The first session is at 8pm on Wednesday 13th January 2021.

Cost

We normally change £40 to help cover our costs but this year we have decided to offer it FREE of charge to participants. (If you benefit from the course, we would love you to make a donation to the charity Toilet Twinning at the end. You may think your life is crap, but helping others who are even worse off than you can make a difference to you and to them.  Toilet Twinning is engaged in flushing away poverty one toilet at a time. For more details see https://www.toilettwinning.org)

Although the course is free, you do need to register as places are limited. Register below on Eventbrite to receive your FREE ticket which includes a ZOOM link to the sessions.

Who is running Living Life to the Full?

The programme is run under the auspices of Living Lordswood (www.livinglordswood.org.uk) and is being facilitated by Pete and Judy Short. They both have extensive experience in adult education and this will be the fourth year they have taught this course.

Who is it for?

Space is limited, so we are keeping this a local event for people living within the “Lordswood Village” (Sandpiper, Oakwood, Dunvegan, Beaulieu, Longleat etc) and their friends. We want Lordswood to be the best place to live!

The course uses a tried and tested CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) approach. It has been developed by Professor Chris Williams, a psychiatrist from Glasgow and due to its success it has a growing international following.  It's been designed to benefit men and women and teaches transferable skills that can help you put the shine back into your life.  Pete and Judy, who are teaching the course, are educators not 'therapists'.  The purpose of the course is to help you to help yourself.  By coming on the course we hope you will meet new people in the Breakout Rooms and have a lot of fun! The lower age limit is 18.

Where and when is it being held?

This time the course will be held online using the ZOOM platform.

What can I expect?

You can expect opportunities to look at your life differently. Each week you will be given a new tool that you can use to make your life work better. There will be guidance about how to sort out your feelings when you’re fed up or worried and you’ll learn skills to help you tackle your problems.

What is expected of me?

The most important thing is that you treat yourself to the space! It will work best if you can attend all sessions and work on the things you have learned in between.

As you’d expect with any group, there will be a variety of views and experiences and we ask that you are respectful of those who do not share your point of view. There will be group discussions but you will not be asked to do anything or give any information that you don’t want to.
