Local Walks

Spending time in green spaces makes us happier and healthier – and best of all is good fun.

Lordswood is a great place to walk with easy access to the local Greenways, Outdoor Sports Centre and the Forestry Commission Woods which are interlaced with paths and trails used by walkers and cyclists alike.

Often, these wonderful facilities are underused by local residents.  In a recent survey into usage one of the findings was that many people are reluctant to explore the woods for fear of getting lost.  As a result we asked some talented local friends to produce map to help people find their way about.  As you roam you may want to start identifying some of the wildlife who share their woods with us.

Wiltshire Wildlife Trust have produced a great series of Factsheets for you to download.

In addition, Living Lordswood organises seasonal 'Wow! Walks' where people can walk together and share their enjoyment of the beauty of the area.
